Lesser Apotheoun

Lesser Apotheoun was inspired as a demonstration painting on a poplar wood panel.  It is a detail of Apotheoun, its larger sibling, and was painted in 2006.  A thirty step demonstration was prepared for presentation on YouTube.  In 2008 Woodmere Art Museum awarded this the Maxwell Prize.  In the following year Lesser Apotheoun was purchased for the collection of the Fellowship of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.  It has been on display at the Hamilton Building, adjacent to the Library, at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.  Oil on Poplar panel, 14 1/2” x 14”.
